These earrings are meant to resemble a lamb’s ear. Throughout the gospel Jesus teaches in parables and at the end of his messages he says, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear." This is to help us understand what he is teaching us about his kingdom. Matthew 18:12-14 and Luke 15:3-7 tell the parable of the lost sheep. A shepherd has 100 sheep, but one is lost. So he leaves the 99 sheep to save the 1 lost sheep. We are the lost sheep and God is our shepherd! No matter how far astray we think we have gotten he will always be perusing us! Additionally, these earrings feature crosses. Jesus is the lamb of God and he was sent to earth to be a sacrifice to pay for all of the world's sin. Back in the day, Jews would sacrifice a spotless lamb in order to honor God and ask for forgiveness for sin. None of us are spotless, but Jesus was! When he died on the cross he was sacrificing himself to pay for all our our sins and give us a path to spend eternity in heaven!
